Oregon Symphony

130 Years of the Oregon Symphony

On October 30, 1896, 33 musicians gathered at Portland's Marquam Grand Theatre for a concert that would launch more than a century of extraordinary music-making.

Today there is even more reason to celebrate! In honor of the Symphony's birthday, Board Member Bob Haley is offering to match every dollar donated today (October 30) with three additional dollars, up to $15,000 in matching funds!

Make a gift to celebrate 130 years!
